No. 446, 1st December 1863 Acte of Renonciation, Mm. Mary K. Jackman & other to The Estate & succession of late George Jackman, their brother. On this first day of December one thousand eight hundred and sixty three in the afternoon, Before us the undersigned Public Notaries for Lower Canada, residing in the District of Saint Hyacinthe, Personally came and appeared Mary Knight Jackman wife of Enoch Buzzell, Farmer of the Parish of Saint Paul d’Abbottsford, and here present and authorizing his said wife to the effect and purpose hereof, Caroline Jackman widow of the late William Buzzell of the same place, Who hereby declared that they have not at any time heretofore received any emolument, benefit or advantage whatever from or out of the estate & succession of George Jackman, deceased in Glens Fall, State of New York one of the United States of America, deceased ab intestate and unmarried, And considering the said estate & succession of the said late George Jackman will to be more onerous than profitable has renounced the same & by these presents do renounce the said estate & succession of their said brother, in favor of the said Samuel P. Jackman, Book Binder, of Glens Fall, State of New York one of the United States of America, electing his domicile for the purposes hereof in the dwelling house of said E. Buzzell, the said Samuel P. Jackman hereto present and accepting, the said appearer hereby affirming that they have not at any time or in any manner or way howsoever intervened with the said estate & succession nor made away with secreted or disposed of any of the effects thereof. And to the end that these presents may be registered in the register of this in[illegible]ations for the Count of Rouville and wherever else it may be necessary the said appearers do hereby constitute the bearer of these presents their attorney to whom all necessary power and authority is given to that effect for this etc. Done and passed at the said Parish of Saint Paul d’Abbotsford in the office of Me P. Bériau, one of the undersigned Notaries, in the year, month and day first above written under the number four hundred and forty-six and the said appearers signed with us said Notaries, these presents being first duly read according to law.
