Information from Rich Stayer July 2005
Attached is the obit for John N. Gillam's son-in-law, George R. Addington. I don't know many specifics about him, except that he married John and Laura Sniff/Sneff Gillam's oldest daughter, Eulalie V. Gillam in Grant Co., IN 22 AUG 1923. By the 1930 Census, they had moved to Franklin Co., Columbus, OH. and John and Laura were living with them. I believe they probably all stayed there until John and George passed away.
Eulalie was born 16 Feb 1902 probably in Grant Co., IN, since John and two of the other Gillam sisters were there in the 1900 census.(Minerva Lytle and Phebe Mappin). They all resided pretty close together if I remember right.
After the deaths of John and George Addington, the girls headed to California. I am unsure why as of yet. Eulalie died there in Los Angeles, 11 FEB 1972 just 5 days short of her 70th birthday.
John and Laura Sniff/Sneff Gillam also had a daughter named Florence. She was first married to a man named Puckett, 2 JUL 1922 in Grant Co., IN. By John's death though, she must've remarried and was "Mrs. O/C Swisher".
