From Ontario County Journal 9 August 1907

The town of Gorham was recently saddened by the death of one of its most respected citizens, Michael Hogan, who died at his home east of Wilson's Corners on July 21. He was born in County Clare, Ireland, and came to this country 56 years ago. After being here a short time, he married Susan Nagle and made his home in the town of Gorham, where he had resided until his death. Mr. Hogan had always held the esteem and reverence of his fellow men, on account of his honesty and integrity, for which he was noted, far and wide. He had been known as an unusually strong man, both physically and mentally. He leaves to mourn him three daughters, Mrs. James Blanche, of Geneva; Mrs. T. F. Moore of Crystal Lake, N. J., and Mrs. J. H. Fallon of Canandaigua; and two sons, John and Michael. The interment was in Calvary cemetery.
