Obituary
Mother is bond of the family and home. She is to be honored, her law not to be forsaken. To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born and a time to die.
After many months of sickness and suffering Jesus called for another mother to come and enter the heavenly Home He has prepared for his children.
Patsy Jane Arnold, daughter of Andrew and Margaret Arnold, was born Feb. 24, 1867, at Harrisburg, Ill. During her childhood days her parents located in or near Benton, where she spent most of ther life. She bacame a Christian in her early life, but never affiliated with any church.
October, 1883, she was united in marriage to Edgar L. Ligon. To this union was born five children, namely: Elmer, Charlie and Eva Ligon, receased; Everett Ligon and Mrs. Paula Ligon Jones of Benton, survive this marriage. The husband and father departed this life February, 1895.
December 18 1896, she was united in marriage to W. R. Brady and to this unioin were born Earl Brady of Sullivan, Ind., Jim Brady of Benton, and Mrs. Maude Rice of Taylorsville, Ill., all surviving.
She was a sacrificing, devoted mother and companion, respected and loved by her neighbors and all who knew her.
Besides her family she leaves to morn her departure one brother, Thomas Arnold, of Mt. Vernon, Ill., one sister, Mrs. Alice Adams, of West City; 24 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.
