Elijah, Missouri is in Ozark County about 3 miles west of the town of Caulfield, and 1 mile south of Highway 160 on Highway V. The gravestone is not in the proper location within the cemetery. It was found outside the cemetery boundary and placed back inside by Ken and Kelsa Jean Lane. (Ken is Ivela's great-grandson). The stone is broken in two, so that the name Choate was almost removed, but the bottom halves of the letters C-H-O-A-T are clearly discernible. The birth and death dates on the stone differ slightly from the notes in Jim Lane's research file. DWB 3/28/98
