1/12/1782: Deed from Ignatius Wheeler, Jr. of Harford Co. and Henrietta, his wife, late relict of Roger Smith of CC, dec'd, to Thomas Stone of CC, attorney at law, for 750 lbs. sterling two tracts near Port Tobacco Town, "Chandler's Hills" and "Wellcome" and also negroes Rachel and Luce which lands and negroes were by the sd. Roger Smith devised to the sd. Henrietta during her life. (Charles County Land Records, 1775-1782).
