BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Siegmund Wilhelm Mester, legitimate son of, Hinrich Mester, Brinksitzer and Butcher, from Seehausen, and of wife Johanna, Elisabeth, born Meier, was born on June the 3rd and baptized on June 22nd, 1856, in Seehausen, a suburb of the true Port City of Bremen. CERTIFICATE OF RELINQUISHMENT. The citizen of Bremen, Siegmund Wilhelm Mester, born June 3rd 1856, in Seehausen, son of Brinksitzer Hinrich Mester, will be by his own request, since he does not have to be drafted, therefore released as a citizen of Bremen. Upon issuance of the Certificate of Relinquishment he will lose his citizenship. If subject does not change residency in Germany, or become a citizen of a different country, this certificate becomes void within three (3) months of issuance. Bremen, 22 March 1873.
