Obituary for Dickerson Rogers.

"Dickerson Rogers, one of Wisconsin's poineers, who had for nearly a century lived a life beyond reproach, commanding the respect and esteem of all who knew him, on Sunday evening, February 6th, 1887, quietly breathed his last and entered his eternal rest.

He was born at Stillwater, Saratoga County, New York, April 17th, 1795, where he resided until 1809 when he went to what is now the town of Warren, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, remaining in that neighborhood until 1836 when he moved to Owego, Tioga County, New York, and in May, 1845 returned to Pennsylvania (Ulster County), residing there until 1854 when he came to Wisconsin, landing in the town of York, Green County, and coming to this town, Argyle (Lafayette County) where he has made his home since until his death.

The funeral took place in the Methodist Episcopal church on Wednesday, the services being conducted by the Rev. J. P. Greer." Argyle Paper
