It is thought that John Howard of York County, Virginia was born in England. He imported his brother Francis Heyward to Virginia as well. They died within a couple of years of each other, and John's wife married second, William Calvert, a brother to the Calverts of Maryland. Francis's widow married second, Bartholomew Ennals and emmigrated to Maryland.
