Image Information

Front page article from The Sentinel-Democrat (Mt. Sterling, Ky.) Feb. 19, 1931 about Londy's famous shootout. At least one of the other guys died, or so I was told. The tale of the shootout is rather long and involved, but I heard it over and over while growing up. Apparently, Londy was hit in the shoulder, the bullet spun him around and he was shot twice more in the back. One of the bullets was too close to the spine to remove, so it remained there for the rest of his life. from Steve Willis January 2013. Presumed out of copyright, though the newspaper might have renewed copyright.
