En is hierna door ons opgemaakt deze acte, welke, na voorlezing, door den bruidegom, de bruid, de getuigen en ons is onderteekend; hebbende de ouders van den bruidegom en de moeder der bruid deze niet onderteekend, verklarende geen schrijven te hebben geleerd.

In the presence of Thomas Oeges Wijnstra, 47 years old, gardener, living in Ferwerd, uncle by marriage to the groom; David Sijbrens Helpstra, 51 years old, gardener, living in Nijkerk, uncle by marriage to the bride; Wijbe Reiding, 70 years old, secretary staff, and Klaas Jans Feenstra, 61 years old, secretary clerk, latter living in Ferwerd, to parties strange.

And by law we put this act, which, after reading, by the groom, the bride, witnesses, and we signed; having the parents of the groom and the mother of the bride not signed, declaring not have learned to write.
