Death announcement for Paul Schoennauer in 1923 while stationed in Hawaii.

NOBLESVILLE - Mrs. Fannie Schoennauer, living in the north part of Hamilton county, received a message today from the War Department of Washington announcing the death of her son, Paul Schoennauer, in the Hawaiian islands on April 26.  His death is said to have been due to peritonitis.  The body will be sent to the home of the mother for burial.  The young man was 19 years old and enlisted in the government service Jan. 23, at Indianapolis.  He was a mechanic and chauffeur in the 8th field artillery.
