Description: Map of the Jewish population density in Central and Eastern Europe about 1900.

Drawn by: Diltsgd (FamilySearch Wiki).

Date: 13 August 2009.

Source: Modified primarily from "Jews and Armenians in east Centeral Europe, ca. 1900" in Paul Robert Magocsi, Historical Atlas of East Central Europe (Seattle: Univ. of Washington Press, 1993), 108-109 (map 33)[FHL Book 940 H2ho]. Also, for Ottoman Turkey I used a map drawn by Razvan Paraian, "The Administrative Distribution of Jewish Population in Central and Eastern Europe, ca. 1900" drawn in 2000, but the exact source for my copy is unknown. For the Netherlands, Pfalz, and Hohenzollern see "File:Juden_1881.JPG" in "Jews and Judaism in Europe" in Wikipedia: the Free Encyclopedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jews_and_Judaism_in_Europe (accessed 13 August 2009) which is a scan of a map "Die Vertreibung der Juden in Mitteleuropa" (Bielefeld & Leipzig: Verlag von Velhagen & Klasing, 1881?)
