Deputies Arrest Two On Pot Counts 

  Two Scotts Valley residents were arrested on marijuana charges Monday after deputies went to their home to investigate a reported gunshot.
  Donald Schoennauer, 32, and Elizabeth Thomas, 30, both of 3371 La Madronna Drive, were booked in County Jail on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale following the 11:30 p.m. incident.
  According to reports, officers were called to the residence after neighbors reported hearing a woman screaming and a single gunshot.
  When deputies arrived, they found Thomas covered with blood and suffering from a large laceration behind her ear, said deputies.
  Thomas told deputies she fell and’hit her head. then fired a gun in an effort to attract the help of her neighbors.
  Residents in the area said they had heard the sound of an argument before the shot, however, according to reports.
  Thomas was taken to Community Hospital where she was treated for the head wound.
  Deputies said it appeared the couple had gotten into an argument and Schoennauer had pushed Thomas into a counter.
  Then, said officers, it appeared Thomas fired a shot through a door to scare Schoennauer. He grabbed the gun and threw it outside where it was retrieved by a neighbor, according to reports.
  During an investigation into the incident, deputies discovered a shed containing a large quantity of drying marijuana, said officers.
