This publication is the collective works of John D. Vautier. John served as the Regimental Historian and put many years of research from official records, personal interviews, and his first hand experiences. The History of the 88th Pennsylvania Volunteers for the Union, is briefly told in army vernacular from John's prospective of an enlisted man. John attempts to give a true and impartial narrative of the regiment's engagements in the Civil War.
