James Monroe, President of the United States Of America, to all whom these presents may come, greeting: Know ye, That, in pursuant of the Acts of Congress appropriating and granting land to the late Army of United States, passed on and since the 6th day of May, 1812, Bartholomew Clark having deposited in the General Land office a Warrants in his favor, numbered 24.796 there is granting unto the said Bartholomew Clark late a private in militia company of the 44th Regiment of Infantry a search and Tract of Land, containing one hundred sixty acres being in the Northeast quarter of section 11 of Township 5 South in range 4 West in the Tract appropriated [by Acts aforesaid] for Military Bounties, in the Territory of Arkansas; to have and to hold the said quarter Section of Land, with the appurtenances thereof, unto the said Bartholomew Clark, and to his heirs and assigns forever. In testimony whereof, I have caused these Letters to mean a patent, and the Seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed. Given under my Hand, at the City of Washington, this 25th day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred twenty-one and of the Independence of United States of America the Forty-sixth.
