[edit] TextThree held on suspicion of rape FREMONT - Three Fremont men were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of rape after a missing San Lorenzo woman was found with them on a Fremont Street. Alameda County Sheriff's investigators said the young woman was with another woman and two male companions in Niles Canyon Monday evening when their car was disabled for unknown reasons. The victim was expected home by 10 p.m., so she accepted a ride with three men who arrived in the area. When she failed to return home, her father came to the Fremont police department at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday to report her missing. Officer John Huntoon spoke to the father, and them at 3 a.m., he observed the suspect's car, as described by the victim's companion, on Peralta Boulevard at Martha Avenue. Huntoon said he halted the car, got the woman out, and she identified herself and said she had been raped. Huntoon said two knives were found in the auto, along with a dead deer and a dead racoon. A sheriff's department spokesman said that the deer was run over accidentally as the trio drove to Calaveras Dam on the Alameda-Santa Clara county line, where the young woman reportedly was raped at knifepoint.
