[edit] DescriptionAn Army carry team moves a transfer case containing the remains of Staff Sgt. Aaron R. Butler at Dover Air Force Base, Del., Friday, Aug. 18, 2017. According to the Department of Defense, Butler, of Monticello, Utah, died Aug. 16, in Nangarhar province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained from an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations. Several relatives of Aaron Butler were at Dover Air Force Base on August 18 when the body of Butler arrived on American soil, including three uncles, one aunt and one cousin. His body was accompanied the week since leaving Afghanistan by a fellow soldier, and custody transferred to his cousin on the day of departure from Dover for the flight home to Utah.
