Following is the English translation of the article in the Vlissingse Courant of 19 April 1909. The article itself is dated 17 April 1909.

We have seen the drawing of the hotel-cafe-restaurant that is to be built for P.M.W. Schröder and that will be located on the Boulevard Evertsen.

When this hotel will go into business, it will undoubtedly contribute much to the beauty of our sea-side resort town.

As far as the interior is concerned, we can report that there will be conversation, billiards, and dining rooms, while, in the veranda that is to be constructed, one can have a cosy seat. This will not apply in any lesser degree to the raised terrace that will be added to this hotel.

Also worth a mention is that the hotel will be equipped with a flat roof, providing an opportunity to enjoy the panorama on both the seaward and landward side. Five sitting rooms will be built on the roof and there will also be a buffet.

The flat roof will be accessible by means of an elevator.

The interior decoration of the hotel will also entirely meet today's standards.

We are told that the contract for the construction of the hotel will be awarded within one month and that the building is scheduled to be water-proof before the coming winter.
