Since the pairing on this page represents a departure from basically every source, I thought it might be helpful to get a film of the original town records. At the time in question, births of children tended to be recorded in family groups, whereas the published records have been sorted alphabetically, losing this useful clue. FHL film 887762 contains "Copy of Book marked A of the Town Records of Topsfield", copied in 1881, so unfortunately not original, but appears to be an attempt to be a literal transcription. On p. 74 of the copy (p. 124 of the original) is found the birth of Apphia to William Perkins Senior, followed by the note "see page 125". On p. 75 of the copy (p. 125 of the original) is found the births of daughter Elizabeth and son William. This suggests these children are indeed all part of one family as has been represented on this page. Oliver would have been in Book B which started in 1742. --Jrich 20:11, 28 November 2012 (EST)
