The only Menstrie in our database is the one located in Clackmannanshire. According to the sources in GENUKI, part of the parish of Logie (in which Menstrie was located) was moved from Stirlingshire to Clackmannanshire at the end of the 19th century.

Chapel of Garioch is a parish in Aberdeenshire. The description in Wikipedia does not recognize there is a parish by that name. There is a better description of the parish in GENUKI.

All the biographies of William Alexander that I have found say that he was born in Menstrie.
