Oops. I merged before looking at this page. What was the reason behind the no-merge request? I think the children and Thurstan are duplicates, but the parents and wife of Thurstan are (I am guessing) unsupported nonsense from Royalty for Commoners. Should I unmerge and keep the duplicate children as duplicates, or put in "speculative wife" and "speculative parents" templates?--Werebear 13:01, 23 March 2013 (EDT)

- Cool. I like this attitude. The internet doesn't need another genealogical garbage heap of unsourced facts of unknown reliability. There are many other sites filling that niche. I chose this site to contribute to because I understood that it was aiming at setting a higher bar. By doing that, I think this site could grow into something seriously useful, even indispensable.--Werebear 19:33, 6 September 2013 (EDT)
- I'm hopeful. Deleting stuff is never my first choice - but I think we've worked this general area pretty hard and for a number of years now. A lot of originally uploaded content has been salvaged - but at this point - if I find a section that's basically devoid of sources and untouched since it was uploaded (other than my own de-duplication efforts usually) - and none of our handy sources back things up - well, it's just gotta go. --jrm03063 19:44, 6 September 2013 (EDT)
