marriage date [6 June 2019]

I removed the marriage date of 21 Dec 1757. First of all, the records that are found give the marriage date 9 mar 1758, both in the original and in Barbour's index. I don't find a familysearch index that gives the removed date, either.

Second, the source that is cited is the birth of their daughter which says nothing about when their marriage was. So it is left without anything to support it.

Of course, hard to speculate where the date comes from, but if there is any kind of record to support it, it presumably is the date that intentions were published. Often such high-level indexes like Connecticut, Vital Records, Prior to 1850 do not differentiate between records of intentions and actual marriage records. --Jrich 20:55, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for your research on the marriage date. I admire your research skills. I'm wondering where do you find images of the original records. I know that the further removed from the records, the more errors are introduced in indexing. Also, thank you for taking the time to correct the facts and provide more background. I know it must take time, and i appreciate what you do to help. You're an amazing researcher. I'm new to We Relate, so I'm still trying to understand all of the options.
