Sources needed [8 January 2009]

This page [originally titled Philemon Whale and Elizabeth Griffin] shows the daughter Elizabeth b. 1591 but gives the marriage of her parents in 1610 and all other siblings born after this date? Philemon Whale of Sudbury m. as his 3rd wife an Elizabeth Griffin, but that occurred in 1657, a year after this Elizabeth Griffin supposedly died in Sudbury? She is not listed in Vital Records of Sudbury, unless she remarried and took on a different name, but such is not shown here. By his first wife Elizabeth Frost, Philemon did have a son Jonas and son Philemon, and step-daughter Elizabeth. So this bears some resemblances to a misguided comglomeration of facts about Philemon, possibly involving some confusion with a cousin or uncle named Philemon who remained in England? Without sources, it is hard to know what to make of this, except to ignore it?? --Jrich 18:23, 6 January 2009 (EST) [I believe the death date of 21 Jun 1656 might actually be the death date of Hugh Griffin of Sudbury, whose widow Elizabeth Griffin married Philemon Whale of Sudbury in 1657. This according to Source:Ferris, Mary Felton. Dawes - Gates Ancestral Lines, p. 1:639, though Source:Vital records of Sudbury, Massachusetts, to the year 1850, p. 308 lists Hugh's death as 27 Jun 1656. --Jrich 19:03, 6 January 2009 (EST)]

Renamed to Ann Norwood

Reviewing evidence in Source:The Genealogist (American Society of Genealogists), I am renaming this page to shows Philemon Whale's correct wife, believing that any association with an Elizabeth Griffin is confusing this Philemon with his son who migrated to Sudbury, MA. --Jrich 13:41, 8 January 2009 (EST)
