Klaas' possible parents [17 July 2011]

Paul, I believe Klaas' parents may have been Hendrik Bakker & Sophia Christina Koster (m 1857 in Heemskerk). Klaas' obituary speaks of a brother Chris Bakker, who may be the person spoken about on this site: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ne/topic/resources/OLLibrary/Nebraskana/pages/nbka0018.htm. That article also states that Hendrik and Sophia Christina came to the U.S. as well. The obituary also references a sister Mrs. L. Wissink, who is likely the wife of Lambert Martinus Wessink (Nebraska Marriages, 1855-1995). --Jennifer (JBS66) 08:42, 14 July 2011 (EDT)

Hi Jennifer I can't find any information yet about Hendrik Bakker and Sophia Koster in Holland, but I think I found the other daughter Anna (see the obituary) https://www.familysearch.org/search/recordDetails/show?uri=https://api.familysearch.org/records/pal:/MM9.1.r/MTPP-GK7/p3 I also added some information about the family Klaas Bakker and Neeltje Barendse I found through Find a Grave and children in Utrecht who earlier. -- Paul (paulsnip)
