Family talk:Joseph Lapham and Abigail Sherman (1)

No sources, so assumed bad data [15 February 2011]

I replaced a marriage date of "1700", not sourced, with a marriage date of about 1708. It is not known what the date of 1700 is based on. The only child I find for Joseph and Abigail, as mentioned in Source:Aldridge, Bertha Bortle Beal. Laphams in America : Thirteen Thousand Descendents Including Descendents of John from Devonshire, England, to, or Source:Lapham, William B. Lapham Family Register, or Source:Scituate, Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States. Vital Records to the Year 1850, is son Joseph, b. 26 Apr 1709, which hardly justifies a marriage as early as 1700.

While the previous sources don't give any date for the marriage, Source:Holman, Mary Lovering. Descendants of William Sherman of Marshfield, Massachusetts says "married about 1708". Since this estimate is understandable, I used it in preference to one that seems to have no strong basis. --Jrich 16:37, 15 February 2011 (EST)
