Need sources [3 September 2009]

Sources are needed for the marriage date of 10 Apr 1688 given on this page. Several issues with it:

  1. 10 Apr 1688 is the marriage date that John Whitney (Jonathan's brother) married Mary Hapgood (Sarah's sister) in Watertown
  2. there is a long gap (almost 5 years) until first child, Sarah, born 2 Mar 1692-3
  3. no marriage is recorded in vital records of Sherborn, MA (nor Sudbury, Concord or Watertown).
  4. Whitney Research Group has "say 1692", meaning they have no evidence and are estimating.
