Raw vital records from Source:Concord, Massachusetts, births, marriages, and deaths, 1635-1850 John wheeler and Sarah larken wear marryed. 25. march 1663 John Wheler & Sara Starns maried 27 desem 78 The following births appear to belong to John Wheeler and Sarah Larken since births precede the Wheeler/Stearns marriage: Samewell son of John wheeler and Sarah his wife borne 6 July 1664. The following are less clear: Ester daughter of John Wheeler born 1 10 78 [December 1 1678] According to Source:Wheeler Families of Old Concord, Massachusetts by George Tolman, Deacon John names his children as John [b. 1684], Sarah, Abigail, Thomas, and Jonathan in his will. Joseph had died already as had Nathaniel. Among the unattributed, this leaves unaccounted for the following three: Ester, Ebenezer and Thankful. According to Tolman, all three of these are mentioned directly or through their spouses as recipients in the settlement of the estate of the John Wheeler who married Sarah Larken dated 21 Oct. 1719. --Jrich 18:55, 3 April 2008 (EDT) The will of John Wheeler of Concord, dated 28 Jun 1736, proved 27 Dec 1737, names wife Sarah giving her that "which she brought with her unto me", son John, son Thomas, daughter Sarah Meriam of Boxford, daughter Abigail Ball of Concord, grandson Joseph Wheeler of Acton, and son Jonathan Wheeler [executor]. --Jrich 22:22, 9 March 2010 (EST) |
