[add comment] [edit] Is it appropriate to use unsourced Ancestry Public Tree in this case? [24 February 2024]The only published source I've been able to find (in a brief online search) is Colonial Families of the United States. It says the children of John and Elizabeth Horsey were William, Betty, and John (no Isaac or Mary). The only dates given for anyone in the family is that John Sr died before 1754 and that John Jr married 1 May 1776. Isaac and Mary are listed in FamilySearch Family Tree, but with no sources. WeRelate aspires to better data quality than other comparable websites, with solid sources. Since quality sources appear to be sparse for this family, I think it is better to follow what we have - Colonial Families of the United States. Note that Ancestry.com has several Maryland wills naming John Horsey (as son, brother, son-in-law, etc.), but none that I could find for him. A few wills also name Isaac and Mary, but they seem to be for a different Horsey family than mentioned in Colonial Families of the United States. --DataAnalyst 15:48, 24 February 2024 (UTC) |
