Incorrect Information for the Bride in the Huwelijsakte [4 September 2023]

The information for the bride in the huwelijksakte looks strange because it is incorrect. It is in fact correct and consistent information for a totally different person, Baukje Sjoerds van Tuinen, the bride's first cousin who also lived to adulthood and married. Baukje Meinderts and Baukje Sjoerds were born and baptized about a year apart in Baarderadeel; Baukje Meinderts was baptized in 1801 in Oosterlittens while Baukje Sjoerds was baptized in 1802 in Britswerd en Wieuwerd. The final observation is that Meindert Wybes Wybenga, the actual father of Baukje Meinderts, signed the huwelijksakte.
