[add comment] [edit] Looking at your family and presentation [28 September 2019]Hi I have been doing some tidying up of your family on WeRelate. Places that you entered that come up in red didn't fit our database of places. Quite often the correction is very simple. The centre box, the one following the date, calls for a place but not a street address or any other material (such as a child's age). These extra bits can go in the third box, headed Description. Always add the province and the country to North American placenames, and the county and the country to English ones, so that readers from other parts of the world can follow your notes (but do not use UK; the database automatically does the separation between England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.) A hint usually comes up below the field if what is typed is being recognized. But there are many towns whose names are used in more than one country. Be careful. I think Grey County ceased to exist sometime in the 70s or 80s (I haven't checked this), but we use it for events that occurred before the change. Same with Chatham and Chatham-Kent. You can add census details under "Add event/fact" and the sources for the census and all other details under the "Sources" area below. Sources can be tied to events by putting the source number in the box under the Event Place. There is a good variety of events that can be filled in this way. Please read about entering Sources in the Help pages. The large box in the Source field will take all the entries for a family from one census. "Notes" allow for extra facts that may not fit under sources. "Personal history" covers the miscellaneous bits you might have about a person. Unfortunately, this box is not programmed to do certain things we normally do when writing notes. It does not recognize carriage returns or a series of spaces that we might use to space out information. You can use "<br>" to start a new line and spread out information (such as a census entry for one person) by using commas between the facts. Break up different sets of facts with an empty line between the sets. Using an indent causes the type to change to courier font. I am spending my retirement years sorting out WR entries. I grew up in Toronto, but now live in England, and know both places pretty well, but Cape Rich stumped me until you clarified it in another entry.
