address and phone number, so I phoned them to ask how to obtain a death certificate for "Robert H. ELDER, d. Sept. 13, 1892."

Dallas County Court house webpage had a download request form in .pdf format, which I printed, and they told me to mail it to the Iowa Dept. of Public Health in Des Moines, with a xerox copy of my driver's license, and a notary stamp for my signature on the application form. Fortunately, we have a notary here at the Van Mall Retirement Center, in the Secretary's office, so I will ask her to sign the form today, and I'll send it all to Des Moines in today's mail!
