Hello! I am a Newby descendant and I'm trying to find more info on Frederick Newby's wife, Eleanor Elizabeth Newby. Her actual surname is "Lassiter", and I have reason to believe she was Cheroenhaka/Nottoway Native American. I am actually trying to determine who her parents were, and thought if I can access their marriage record, it might list her parent's names.
