Residence in 1830: Pickens, South Carolina. Eleanor, born in 1797 was still alive and 33 in 1830. She died in 1846 when her daughter Ellen Land was 10. She's buried in Chauga Cemetery, Westminster, Oconee, SC. per Find a Grave entry: Eleanor Jolly, wife of Elijah Land B: 1797 ; D: 7 Sep 1846; Burial: Chauga Cemetery, Westminster, Oconee County, South Carolina Find a grave memorial #: 131737021. Please don't use the information on Elizabeth Ellis in my tree. I believe the second wife of Elijah was Elizabeth Menton. She is buried in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Fair Play, Oconee, SC per Find A Grave index 1729-2011: Elizabeth Land (Minton); Born 17 Jun 1802; Death Date: 24 Jun 1883; Buried in South Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Fair Play, Oconee County, South Carolina. I have no intention of merging these families, the duplicates search engine had listed them as possible merge candidates as they had a child in common, which I believe I corrected so they are no longer merge candidates, the child in question was born after the date of death of one of the possible mothers. If I have removed a child in error then please reinstae it with good sources and do not use the other child.Rhian 19:36, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
