- Thanks! I think I've seen that. It also matches up with the 1900 census, which gives 1885 as their marriage date. I'll take a closer look, but since the death certificate of Welmers in 1898 lists him as married (presumably to Berendje), I've been looking for something with a date closer to 1900. (Unless Welmers remarried. I'm curious how he is listed in the 1894 Michigan state census, but I'm having trouble navigating it.) --Pkeegstra 19:31, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
