[add comment] [edit] Evidence for wife being Mary Boylston? [8 July 2018]Hi I can find no evidence in online databases that Dennis' second wife was a Mary Boylston. It appears that this identification originated in the Ancestral File, which showed Mary Boylston (daughter of Peter Boylston and Ann White, and wife of Nathan Simpson) as the wife of Dennis MacLain. This does not make sense, as Mary Boylston (using her maiden name) married Nathan Simpson in 1740, and Dennis married Mary Simpson in 1731. It is reasonable to believe that the Mary Simpson who married Dennis MacLain in 1731 had previously been married, but there appears to be no evidence for this, or for her maiden name. If no further information is provided, I will change the record to show that her name was Simpson, with a note that it is not known whether this was her maiden name or a previous married name.--DataAnalyst 20:09, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
