Moses of Washington County VA [1 March 2009]

it is not clear to me that the Moses who died in Washington County in 1806 is the same Moses who was son of David Edmiston and Isabella. Evidence that they are the same individual is needed. If true this would be an interesting connection, since it might be taken to suggest that David Edmiston who married Isabella was indeed related to the Edmiston's who settled in SW VA. However, those later Edmistons where in place by about 1770, and I've seen no record to suggest that a Moses Edmiston was among those early arrivals. He might have come later, but itseems more likely that the Moses who died in SW VA in 1806, was a child of one of the early edmiston descendants, rather than a child of David.
