Family talk:Daniel Parmenter and Rebecca Adams (1)

The information commonly seen on the Internet (which has been partially copied here) doesn't make sense.

That information says that Daniel Parmenter m. Rebecca Adams, b. Sudbury 1682, d. Norwich 1760.

Why it doesn't make sense is that

• Rebecca's father appears to have moved to Connecticut by 1694 and presumably Rebecca went with him.
• Daniel Parmenter m. Sudbury 1713 Rebecca Adams
• Sudbury has a death record for Rebecca Parmeter in 1735.
• Daniel Parmenter died Sudbury 1753
• And then Rebecca was supposed to go to Norwich, Conn. and die 1760.

The TAG article, on p. 23:143, says the daughter of Richard Adams and Rebecca Davis, Rebecca, b. Sudbury 1682, m. 1712 Moses Haggett and she is the one who died in Norwich 1760, as the death record is for "Mrs Rebeckah the wife of Moses Hagget".

It looks like Rebecca can be the daughter of Richard and d. 1760 -or- Rebecca can be the wife of Daniel Parmenter, but not both. --Jrich 11:35, 9 March 2012 (EST)
