Family talk:Boleszew Olerzewsky and Sophia Labunski (3)

  • There were at least 2 couples with similar names living in Illinois between 1910 and 1920, and they should not be confused with each other. One Boleslaw died in 1918 and the other moved to Wisconsin and died there in 1960.
  • It appears that only one of these couples is in the 1910 U.S. census, despite the fact that both had immigrated to the U.S. by then. Given that the Boleslaw who died in 1960 had applied for passports for himself and his family in 1909, they may have been out of the U.S. at the time of the 1910 census. The record in the 1910 census is assumed to be for the Boleslaw who died in 1918, because the census indicates that he and his wife had no children. The Boleslaw who died in 1960 is known to have had children born before 1910.
    • This means that contributors should resist from citing the 1910 census for the couple who later moved to Wisconsin.--DataAnalyst 01:52, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
