Evidence of marriage to Hannah Newton [28 May 2014]
I am not doubting it exactly, but I was wondering what the source is for Benjamin Parmenter having married Hannah Newton. I am cleaning up the Newton family some and this marriage doesn't appear in the Milton vitals.--Daniel Maxwell 02:03, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
- Newton Genealogy, p. 799, will of John Newton of Milton, will dated 1767, d. 16 Feb 1774 apparently unmarried and fairly old.. Extract from abstract given by this source: "I give unto Benjamin Parminter Hannah Marsh and Martha Cumming ...". If Martha has some relationship to Joseph Parmenter, then these would represent the three children of Benjamin and Hannah, and getting mentioned in the will would suggests a relationship, such as possibly nieces and nephews? Otherwise, the Newton Genealogy is not very helpful on the Newtons of Milton. --Jrich 19:42, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
