unsourced webpages [30 October 2012]

If you keep using unsourced webpages, your friend is going to tell you thanks for nothing. The marriage date of 17 Aug 1761 is not found in Framingham VRs, nor anywhere in americanancestor's database. Not only that, the daughter Molle is born 29 Aug 1761 (see here), which suggests it is not likely to be correct. --Jrich 15:10, 29 October 2012 (EDT)

Well, it might not be the first time someone got married right before the first child was born, but you're correct, it does make that marriage date somewhat suspect. Accordingly, I've added an advisory to the date. Thanks for the observation and the link to the Farmingham births website. -Jim

History of Framingham, p. 355, says "AMOS, s. of Phin. (8), m. Mary Berry, and with w. cov. Aug. 17, 1761." I assume "cov." means owned the covenant, i.e., admitted to church on that date, not married. [yes: p. 164, "cov." = covenanted.] --Jrich 11:45, 30 October 2012 (EDT)
removed this source and marriage date, by all appearances being a misinterpretation of the church record where they owned the covenant. Doesn't appear to have any information that can't be found in History of Framingham, link given above. --Jrich 15:20, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
