WHITCOM, Zelotes of Marlborough, and Sarah Parmenter, Sept. 2, 1783, in Stow.
[Note: this appears to be a marriage reported by the Acts of 1857 p. 85, i.e., meaning it was copied from the original record in Stow and sent to Sudbury long after the fact. See the original, cited below. Possibly the copyist was confused by various dates on the page, but the record appears to say 1788 and the immediately surrounding records appear to be in 1789 and 1790, suggesting 1788 is the correct year. Only known child so far born about 1790. Note that NEHGR, p. 169:251 relies on this source, without mention of the other, and reports 1783. Source:Whitcomb, Charlotte. Whitcomb Family in America, p. 225, gives 1788, names no sources and shows no children in this family.]
