Family:William Shoffner and Elvira Brown (1)

Acton A, Jasper Newton, Samuel Layton and Minerva Catherine were attributed to this family. (26 out of 26 trees on ancestry.com) but I believe these children were instead the children of William Shofner, s/o Michael Shofner + Philabena Dirr, who married his cousin Minerva d/o Frederick Shofner + Christena Cook. DeMoss says William of Michael moved to TN with his brother Daniel A before moving to Texas and their 5 sons and 1 daughter were born in Haywood County TN (she may have made a mistake as census evidence says they lived in Bedford Co). Cenuses show all these children in Anglina Co, TX. Elvira Brown's husband William did not have a brother named Daniel A. However, all trees seem to have Elvira dying in Texas. Could it be that both Williams moved to Texas? If I am right, who were William and Elvira's children? If you know, pls let me know. Susie [email protected]
