- ↑ Source:A Report (24th) of the Record Commissioners of the city of Boston : containing Boston births from A.D. 1700 to A.D. 1800, p. 1703, shows the birth of their first child, Alice, on 19 Oct 1703.
- Source:The Reed genealogy : descendants of William Reade of Weymouth, Mass., from 1635-1902, p. 24, lists a Jacob in this family, with no birthdate specified. Of course, this has been picked by various Ancestral Files (1RD2-H0P) adding a birthdate of abt. 1721. No such child is shown in Source:Vital records of Abington, Massachusetts, to the year 1850, Source:Mayflower Families Through Five Generations, or Source:An historical sketch of Abington, Plymouth County, Massachusetts : with an appendix. It is true that Source:Hobart, Benjamin. History of the Town of Abington, Plymouth County, Massachusetts includes Jacob Reed, b. 7 Jul 1720, as a son even though Source:Vital records of Abington, Massachusetts, to the year 1850, p. 1:185, clearly show this Jacob as a son of William's brother Jacob, i.e., a nephew. Since this Jacob married his cousin, the daughter Alice of this William, he was also a son-in-law, but not a son. However, this may be the source of the above confusion.
