  2.   Source:Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts, United States. Vital Records of Newbury, Massachusetts, to the End of the Year 1849, p. 1:409 lists the birth of a daughter Hannah to William and Mary on 8 Jul 1763 (who m. 1786 Jeremiah Chase). Besides being 15 years after the previous child, the mother Mary's death is recorded 5 Aug 1762 so it is likely the parents recorded by the town clerk are wrong. Unfortunately, Source:Pilsbury, David B. Pillsbury Family is a little too uncritical in believing the VR, and more unfortunately, the death record of Hannah Chase, widow of Jeremiah, in West Newbury in 1846 lists her parents as unknown (Source:Massachusetts, United States. Vital Records, 1841–1910, p. 26:131). As a guess, it seems most likely that she was a daughter of the son Moses and his wife Abigail Howard, not the father William, and then she would fit in between William b. 1761 and Abigail b. 1765.
