Hello Norma and all Taulbee kin, I've been a rather quiet observer of the list for a few years, but thought the roll call idea was a good one. My ggg-grandmother Nancy Taulbee, married William Andrew Petty on 11/1/1827 in Fayette County, Illinois. Nancy was the daughter of Isaac David Taulbee and Elizabeth Bankson, and the granddaughter of William Hitchcock Taulbee and Margaret Canady. I'm unsure the year that Isaac David Taulbee migrated to Illinois, but he is listed in the 1820 Floyd County, Kentucky census as Isaac Tolby. Also listed in that census were Samuel, James and William Tolby. I presume these to be his brothers. I would be interested in knowing if any Taulbee researchers have any additional information on the Bankson/Bankston connection to the Taulbee line. Although born in Illinois, I now reside in Versailles, Woodford County, Kentucky.
