Depot agent of the Rock Island Railroad at Glendon was William "Bill" Johnson and wife, Susan. Their son, Albert, married Katie Miller. They had four children, Little Albert, John, Ralph and Kathryn. Albert was Monteith depot agent. Both families moved to Inglewood, Calif. in 1925. William Johnson was also the Glendon photographer.
In the summer I walked about a mile to the post office after the mail came in on the train at 8 o'clock. Bill Johnson carried the mail to the post office.
