(It is 1/2 lot of land I bought of John Hammond dated 13 Aug 1762). Witnesses: James Duglass, Lois Macomber. [Exeter Land pps. 124-125] -14 Jan 1771 John Nichols of North Kingstown, cooper, & Susannah his wife for 250 Spanish milled silver dollars to William Hammond of North Kingstown, yeoman, 50 acres bounded: Rachel Hammond, William Hammond, Joseph Hammond Jr., late Ebenezer Brinton. (land I bought of William Hammond dated 12 Jan. 1771.) Witnesses: Eber Shearman, Elisabeth Northup.
