    ... On January 28, 1841, he was united in marriage with Miss Nancy M. Legg, daughter of Samuel and Catharine Legg, pioneers of Rush County. This union was blessed with eleven children, four of whom died in infancy, and four in the month of October, 1860, with diphtheria. There are living George W., Frank J. and Lafe G.
