Possibly engaged to Person:Robert Story (8) before he eventually married his wife Patience, or possibly living with him as an unmarried relative (William and Elizabeth Frampton had continued interactions and cooperation with Robert and Patience Story), as the Flushing minutes contain the following statement[2]: "To all our dear and most beloved friends, whome this may concerne, that this bearer, Elizabeth Potter, who for sometime lived and continued with Robert Story at New yorke, who was dilligent and faithfull in her place as becometh truth, and by mutuall consent and agreement, each from other, parted and being at her freedom and liberty clear in all matters or things, either in respect of any promis or ingagements to any person or persons, in points of marrage or otherwise, soe farr as we doe know or understand, theirfore, we thus certifie in her behalph as above s'd.

At a Quarterly meeting at fflushing upon Long Island this 26th day of ye 6th mo. 1677."
